Our Mission

At BarcodeReady, our mission is to democratize access to enterprise-grade logistics tools. We believe that whether you are a small Etsy seller, a growing Amazon FBA business, or a large warehouse manager, you deserve access to fast, reliable, and standardized barcode generation without expensive subscription fees.

Why Trust Us?

BarcodeReady is built and maintained by one software engineer, Tomasz Lichosik, who also writes every guide published here. The generator follows the GS1 General Specifications and the relevant ISO/IEC symbology standards — including the quiet zone each symbology requires, which is measured automatically against the specification before every release. There are no accounts, no product database, and nothing you generate is stored.

👤 About the Creator

TL

Tomasz Lichosik

Software Engineer Poland, EU

Tomasz is a full-stack software engineer with a background in supply chain technology and logistics systems. He built BarcodeReady to solve a real problem he encountered while working on inventory management systems: the lack of a fast, free, and standard-compliant barcode generator that works entirely in the browser without requiring uploads or account registration. BarcodeReady is his answer to that gap — built on rigorous GS1 and ISO standards research.

Standards & Compliance

GS1 Standards

All retail barcodes (EAN-13, UPC-A, ITF-14) are generated in compliance with GS1 General Specifications — the global retail industry standard.

ISO/IEC Standards

2D codes including QR Code (ISO/IEC 18004), DataMatrix (ISO/IEC 16022), and PDF417 (ISO/IEC 15438) follow their respective ISO specifications.

Privacy by Design

Linear barcodes and QR codes are rendered in your browser, so those values never reach us. DataMatrix, PDF417 and PDF exports are rendered server-side, which means the value travels in the request and appears in ordinary access logs. We keep no database and store nothing you generate. We comply with GDPR and implement Google Consent Mode v2.

⚙️ Technology & Transparency

BarcodeReady is built on open-source libraries. 1D barcode rendering uses JsBarcode (MIT License). QR codes use qrcode.js. 2D codes (DataMatrix, PDF417) are rendered server-side via Bwip-js. PDF generation uses PDFKit. The site is built with Node.js and Express, with no proprietary black-box components.

We do not sell your data, we do not monetize your inputs, and we do not require any account to use the generator. The site is funded by non-intrusive display advertising (Google AdSense), which is fully subject to your cookie consent preferences.
